Foreign Qualifications
When you form an LLC, one of the three things you must do is determine what state to form in. This question is on the application.
If you wish to do business in another state, you must file a Foreign Qualification if you are not incorporated there.
Please note that many states will tax an LLC that exists in their state, even if it is not doing business there.
