  • Foreign Limited Liability Companies are allowed to do business in Tennessee, provided that they file an Application for Certificate of Authority along with a certificate of existence from their home state. Filing fees are the same for Foreign LLCs and Domestic LLCs. If a Foreign LLC's name is currently in use, they may file for and assumed name with the Application for Registration of Assumed Limited Liability Company Name.
